JT Seawright Back in the Saddle Wins UCRA/Fort Payne Saturday

Fort Payne, AL (6/17/23) --- Back in the saddle for the first time since March, JT Seawright of Aniston, AL marched to victory in his #1J "Agcor Steel, Grow Pediatric Therapy, First Bank of Alabama, J&R Excavating, Farm Systems and Houston Project sponsored GM Performance 604/Crate Late Model, Saturday. The “Summer-Slammer 40” was on tap with the United Championship Racing Alliance - UCRA sanctioning the event at Fort Payne Motor Speedway. The Red Line Synthetic Oil presented race paid $2500 to win, the 5th event of the 2023 Marvin Ford tribute season. Second generation racer, the son of Georgia/Tennessee racing favorite Jamie Perry, Dylan (of Ringgold) finished second in his UCRA debut. Last months Buckshot Speedway winner Colton Leyendecker of Crestview, FL was third in his FPMS debut, while Kasey Hall of nearby, Geraldine finished fourth, with Brian Qualls of nearby, Piedmont fifth. Seventeen raceteams entered the event, and based on preliminary results, Jessie Hughes and Hall will share the top UCRA points position, exiting the Fort Payne track, thus pushing Matt Shannon back to third. Official points will be released this week on ucraracing.com and on the Series Facebook page. The next event for the UCRA series will be a $3000 to win race at Sugar Creek Raceway, in Blue Ridge, GA on Saturday night, July 1st.
